Senior Front-End Developer (React) - Manchester/Remote
North West, UK / Hybrid / Remote / £45,000-£60,000
Pack your bags, this platform’s going international.
You’ll be working with one of the fastest growing tech businesses in the North West, who’ve put together a new front-end team, focusing on expanding their platform to tackle international markets.
They’ve grown into one of the leading suppliers in the UK, but after 12 months of planning, they’ve targeted a handful of countries with a huge demand for their products.
They lean heavily on AWS, using React and Redux, as well as touching on other JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (like Node, Next etc.) – realistically, you’d need commercial experience with React from the get go.
All of their Developers are remote first, but they tend to meet up in Manchester every 3 or 4 weeks – so you can still take the kids to school, take the dog out over lunch and do a couple of loads of washing in-between meetings – because let’s face it, that should be normal.
Salary wise, they’ll pay up to £60,000, and you’d get a really impressive benefits package too, which includes:
- 25 days holiday (plus bank BH) – and the opportunity to buy more.
- You get your birthday off.
- You can take couple of days paid leave to volunteer at a charity of your choice.
- You’ll receive a generous and extensive health insurance package.
- A private pension.
- A healthy training budget which includes things like Pluralsight licenses, access to Udemy courses and the opportunity to attend external exams.
- Also, you’ll have the ability to spend 10% of your week focusing on your own development.
A more detailed breakdown of their tech stack: React + Redux, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS/Sass/JSS, MongoDB, Express, Firebase, Cypress, Jest, Playwright, Node, Next & Storybook.
Their interview process is pretty straight forward too. One or two quick chats with the team and a speedy decision – there’d be no technical tests to look at either – so get in touch with Jack Leeming @ Optima Dev for a chat.
