Why do we exist?

Well, we started Optima Dev because quite simply, we were tired of people overcomplicating recruitment.

We’re firm believers that recruitment should be a pain free, transparent process, with everybody pulling in the same direction – and that’s what we’re striving towards. So, how are we going to achieve this?

Well, we'll go back to basics and keep things simple.

Let’s face it, looking for a new job can be tedious.  

You’ll see more than your fair share of job ads, you’ll get too many unwanted calls and receive far too many emails about roles – 99% of which all look the same, and most won’t be relevant. 

Typically, they’re just a shopping list of skills you need to have, and when you think about it, they never actually tell you anything about the role. 

This is where we’re different. We’ll always do our best to put together an engaging advert, which actually tells you ‘what’s in it for you’ and gives you a reason to think about applying – and in what may be seen as a shocking twist, we’ll be open about the perceived challenges you’ll be walking into from the get-go.

There’s never been more teams operating remotely, opening up countless opportunities for the best talent in the market, in places they’d have never been able to look at before – which makes it even more challenging to attract them in the first place. 

So, we have one non-negotiable. We won’t always tell you what you want to hear, but we’ll tell you what you need to. Sometimes a harsh truth is better than a comfortable lie, and in our experience recruiting in these highly competitive markets, we’ve found this approach works better for everyone involved.
